Shocker: Flight diverted after family complains to pilot about violent Tyler Perry movie...............

A family claims it was kicked off a plane after complaining about the violent in-flight movie being watched by their young sons.
The parents said the United Airlines pilot of the Feb. 2 flight from Denver to Baltimore diverted to Chicago after they asked for the PG-13 rated Tyler Perry film "Alex Cross" to be turned off.
They were then escorted from the aircraft by FBI agents, Customs and Border Security officers and cops — who, within five minutes, determined they weren't a threat. The family, speaking to The Atlantic, said the movie — which contains graphic violence and sexual images — was being shown on drop-down screens above the Airbus A320's seats.
It meant they were unable to shield the youngsters from the "inappropriate content." They asked attendants if the monitor could be turned off but were told it was not possible.
The family asked the cabin crew and then the captain if the in-flight film, “Alex Cross” starring Tyler Perry (above), could be turned off. Soon thereafter, the captain told passengers he was diverting the flight to Chicago

The family asked the cabin crew and then the captain if the in-flight film, “Alex Cross” starring Tyler Perry (above), could be turned off. Soon thereafter, the captain told passengers he was diverting the flight to Chicago "due to security concerns."

They then asked if the captain could switch it off, to which they received no response. But, moments later, the captain told passengers he was diverting the flight to Chicago "due to security concerns."
"After landing at Chicago a police officer boarded the plane and, to our disbelief, approached us and asked that we collect our belongings, and follow her to disembark," the family wrote. They said of the captain: "(He) felt our complaint constituted grave danger to the aircraft, crew and the other passengers, and that this danger justified inconveniencing his crew."
The family said the pilot "completely overreacted" and insisted that "no voices were raised and no threats, implicit of explicit, of any kind were made."
And they added that they are still waiting for an apology from United. The airline has not commented on the incident.
