Eva Longoria has split with her NFL toyboy after just two months. The New York Jets quarterback player Mark Sanchez, who is 12 years Eva’s junior at 25, confirmed the news in a statement on Monday.

“Mark adores and respects Eva,” said Sanchez’s representative.

“It really was about scheduling more than anything else. They will remain close friends.”

There was no drama in the breakup as one source told Us Weekly, “They just have completely different schedules and lifestyles.”

Eva and Mark went public with their romance in early September during her appearance on the talk show Extra, and were even seen apartment hunting together at one point. Then just last month Eva was forced to deny that she was pregnant after erroneous reports.

“Rumours of the couple being pregnant are false and absolutely not true,” her representative said in a statement.

The 37-year-old brunette is said to ‘more focused on her career’ than going out on the town. An insider explained, “He likes to go out and have fun. She’s more focused on her career and her philanthropic work.”

Eva is currently in Los Angeles preparing to start filming new movie Frontera and she is said to be ‘very focused’ on her work for US President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign.

Eva broke up with Penelope Cruz’s brother Eduardo last June after more than a year together. Before dating the 27-year-old Spanish singer, Eva divorced NBA star Tony Parker in January 2011 after he was caught cheating.
