Boko Haram Always Knew Every Movement Of Soldiers – Survivor


One of the survivors of Boko Haram insurgency, Zahra Umoru says the terrorists were receiving the information of the movements of the military.
The girl was abducted in November and rescued recently with other women and children from Sambisa forest.

The teenager was speaking with the journalists of TheCable at Malkohi, one of the camps for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Yola, Adamawa state.

Australia recalls ambassador after Indonesia executes prisoners

Australia has recalled its ambassador to Indonesia for consultations after two Australians were among eight drug smugglers executed by firing squad early Wednesday.
Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott called the executions "cruel and unnecessary" because both men, Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran, had been "fully rehabilitated" during a decade in prison.

Girls rescued from Boko Haram camp not from Chibok, Nigerian military says

Girls rescued from Boko Haram terror camps in Sambisa Forest on Tuesday are "not the Chibok girls," Nigerian Army spokesman Sani Usman said.
However, one official did not rule out that captives from other Boko Haram camps that were raided might include some of the 200 girls abducted in April 2014 from a school in Chibok.

Eatery worker sentenced to 266 years imprisonment for stealing N8m


A staff of popular eatery Sweet Sensation, Oluremi Olayinka pictured above has been sentenced to 266 years imprisonment by an Ogun state High Court for stealing N8 million from her employers. 

Her company petitioned the EFCC after she made away with N8million handed over to her by her employer. Olayinka was in May 2013 dragged before the court for the offence.

72 year old Izzat Ibrahim al-Douri, who was one of late Saddam Hussein's most trusted henchmen in Ba'ath Party and later became an ISIS commander has died in fighting in Tikrit. al-Douri, who was one of the world's most wanted man and had a $10million bounty on his head was killed during fighting with government troops in Salahuddin province, north of Baghdad, on Friday according to Iraqi officials. The man, popularly known as King of Clubs, was fighting alongside ISIS militants.Today, after parading his body in glass coffin so Iraqi people could see that he'd been killed, they delivered his body to the Ministry of Health in Baghdad. Utah mom admits killing 6 babies after giving birth

A Utah mom who admitted to killing six of her babies soon after giving birth was given a hefty prison sentence Monday.
Megan Huntsman, 40, pleaded guilty in February to six counts of felony murder. She will spend at least 30 years in prison before she is eligible for parole.
"I really thought I had seen it all until this case," Judge Darold McDade said during sentencing on Monday.

Cholera outbreak in Ebonyi state, 20 confirmed dead

20 people have been confirmed dead from a Cholera outbreak in Ebonyi state. The state Director, Public Health and Disease Control, in the Ministry of Health, Dr Chris Achi, who made this known to newsmen in Abakaliki, Ebonyi state, said seven local government areas namely Ohaukwu, Izzi, Ezza North, Ishielu, Ebonyi, Abakaliki and Ohaozara have recorded the highest number of cases.

Dr Ashi said one student of the Ebonyi State University has died from the epidemic while 9 of them are in the hospital after contracting the disease.

Woman shoots and kills man she met on Craigslist for injuring her cervix during sex

Police are investigating the shooting death of 25 year old Marteese Williams, (right) who was shot dead by 34 year old Jessica Lewis, (handcuffed), a woman he met on Craigslist who accused him of damaging her cervix during sex.

Florida police say the two connected on Craiglist and agreed to meet for casual sex but something went horribly wrong. According to reports, Jessica told police that after the sex, she felt extreme pain in her cervical area and went to the hospital where she was told that her cervix had been damaged.

Shops set ablaze, looted as xenophobic attacks spread in South Africa

South African police fired rubber bullets Friday to disperse crowds setting immigrant businesses ablaze as attacks against foreigners spread to Johannesburg.
Chanting and singing, machete-armed residents burned down shops owned by foreigners, including a Nigerian dealership in the nation's largest city.
Immigrants carrying bricks accused police of not doing enough to protect them as businesses smoldered.

Suspected kidnapper caught with 4 young girls in Ogun state

47-year-old suspected child kidnapper Nurudeen Badmus has been apprehended after he tried to kidnap four girls between 9-16 years, from their village in Abudu community, Iyana Ilogbo, Ado-Odo Ota in Ogun State on Monday April 13th.

According to PM News, Badmus was apprehended after an acquaintance of one of the girls asked him where he was taking them to. Unable to give a concrete answer, the person raised an alarm and he was immediately arrested and taken to the palace of the local Chief (Baale) in the community.

South Africa footballer Richard Henyekane dies in car crash

South African soccer star Richard Henyekane died in the early hours of Tuesday following a car accident.
The 31-year-old, who played for the national team on nine occasions, was with four other passengers, but was the only one to lose his life.
His club, Free State Stars, confirmed his passing on its official website.

Liverpool's Raheem Sterling caught inhaling nitrous oxide

He's been heralded as one of Europe's best young footballers, but it's not just the backpages that can't get enough of Raheem Sterling.
Sterling shone in Liverpool's 2-0 win over Newcastle United on Monday, but an article published by British newspaper The Sun alleges to show a video of him appearing to inhale nitrous oxide or "laughing gas" from a balloon.

Arsenal cut Chelsea's EPL lead

Arsenal kept their slim hopes of winning this season's English Premier League title alive by beating relegation threatened Burnley 1-0 at Turf Moor.
A first half goal from Welsh international Aaron Ramsey was enough to separate the two sides and secure Arsenal's hold on second place.
More importantly it took the north London club to within four points of first placed Chelsea, with the two clubs to play next week.
But Chelsea have two games in hand and play lowly Queens Park Rangers on Sunday, a team who are themselves struggling against relegation.

ISIS suicide bomber's car explode in MID-AIR after vehicle is blasted skywards seconds before driver's IEDs detonate

This is the incredible moment a car being driven by an ISIS suicide bomber detonates mid-air seconds after it is blasted skywards by an explosion on the ground.
Video shows the jihadi attempting to launch an attack on Kurdish Peshmerga forces, reportedly near Kirkuk in northern Iraq.
But as the car approaches, it hits what appears to be a roadside bomb, catapulting the vehicle at least 100ft into the air.
Just as it begins to fall back down to earth, the car detonates like a firework, either due to the explosives on board or the fuel tank igniting.

Teenager Kills 17 Year Old Classmate For Sending his Girlfriend Snapchat Messages


South Carolina teen Matthew Fischer is currently in police custody after fatally stabbing his classmate for sending Snapchats to his girlfriend.
The 17-year-old was reportedly upset with Lucas Cavanaugh, 16, for sending a message to his girlfriend on the popular app on Sunday. With Snapchat messages lasting no longer than a few seconds, Fischer sent a message of his own to the teen that read, “Come over” and “I’ll kill you man.”

United States is urging China to release five young feminists

The United States is urging China to release five young feminists who face years in prison over their campaign for gender equality.
Authorities detained the women in three cities -- Beijing, Guangzhou and Hangzhou -- a few days ahead of events planned for International Women's Day on March 8.
"Each and every one of us has the right to speak out against sexual harassment and the many other injustices that millions of women and girls suffer around the world," U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said in a statement Friday.
"We strongly support the efforts of these activists to make progress on these challenging issues, and we believe that Chinese authorities should also support them, not silence them."

Nobel literature laureate Guenter Grass, author of"The Tin Drum," is dead

Nobel literature laureate Guenter Grass, best known around the world for his novel "The Tin Drum," has died, his publisher said Monday. He was 87.
Grass died in a clinic in the city of Luebeck, where he was taken over the weekend, said Steidl publishing spokeswoman Claudia Glenewinkel. German media are reporting he died of pneumonia.
Grass focused in much of his work on learning from the horror of war and genocide by exploring motifs from his childhood city of Danzig, which is now Gdansk, Poland.
During the Nazi era, ethnic Poles and Jews were persecuted and deported from the multicultural city, at a time when they faced the possibility of mass murder.

Pope Francis uses 'genocide' for the killing of Armenians

Pope Francis risked Turkish anger on Sunday by using the word "genocide" to refer to the mass killings of Armenians a century ago under the Ottoman Empire.
"In the past century, our human family has lived through three massive and unprecedented tragedies," the Pope said at a Mass at St. Peter's Basilica to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Armenian massacres.
"The first, which is widely considered 'the first genocide of the twentieth century,' struck your own Armenian people," he said, referencing a 2001 declaration by Pope John Paul II and the head of the Armenian church.

Nairobi university in big panic after electrical blasts was mistaken for terror attack

University of Nairobi students were terrified Sunday morning when they heard explosions -- caused by a faulty electrical cable -- and believed it was a terror attack, the school said.
Students on the Kikuyu campus stampeded down the halls of the Kimberly dormitory, and some jumped from its fifth floor, the university said. Hundreds were injured and were taken to hospitals. One person died, according to the school.

About 978 migrants rescued in a day

Desperate migrants from Africa and the Middle East keep heading to Europe, with 978 rescued Friday in the Mediterranean Sea, the Italian Coast Guard said Saturday via Twitter.
The migrants were picked up 30 miles off the coast of Libya, said European Parliament member Matteo Salvini, the leader of Italy's far-right Northern League.

Hip-hop star Nelly has been arrested on drug charges in Tennessee after a state trooper pulled over the private bus in which he was traveling, authorities said.
The 40-year-old rapper from St. Louis, who shot to fame 15 years ago with the track "Country Grammar," has been charged with felony possession of drugs, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security said.
